Other than the above mentioned appointments i've had work experience and training oppertunities at various other centres in the United Kingdom. My special interests other than routine ear operations are in major otological procedures like tympanoplasty/ossiculoplasty, stapedectomy, cortical and modified radical mastoidectomy, saccus decompression etc
During my training in the United Kingdom i had the oppertunity to assist surgeries like translabrynthine excision of acoustic neuroma, excision of glomous jugulare and cochlear transplantation etc which i have been performing with great success independantly with my team in Pakistan for several years now.
I have been performing routine procedures like functional endoscopic sinus surgery, cosmetic nasal surgery (rhinoplasty), laser dacrocystorhinostomy in collaboration with ophthalmologists which is a new way of treating obstruction of the lacrimal duct. I have done total pharyngo-laryngectomy, radical neck dissection, superficial parotidectomy, submandibular gland excision and radial forearm flap repair with microvascular anastamosis. I have been performing endoscopic cricopharyngeal myotomy for pharyngeal pouch using stapling gun endoscopically and it has had very good results with virtually no complications. I have also been doing uvulopalatopharyngoplasty for snores.
