In fact surgeons who have worked in western countries where only one senior anaesthesiologist overlooks five or six major operation theatres with anaesthesia staff nurses monitoring the patients individually find themselves more content over here since the anaesthesiologist who is a British qualified and trained professional and registered with the general medical council of the United Kingdom personally monitors the patient from the time of induction of anaesthesia all the way to the recovery phase and carries out a proper pre-operative evaluation of the patient to asses fitness for general anaesthesia and subsequently follows the patient post-operatively to ensure full recovery from the anaesthesia. The anaesthetist also heads the intensive care unit at Ammar and maintains high disciplines and standards in that department as well.
